Data privacy

DATA PRIVACY STATEMENT

The protection of your personal data is very important to us. We therefore process your data exclusively on the basis of the legal regulations (GDPR, Telecommunications Act 2003). In this data privacy statement, we inform you of the most important aspects of data processing in relation to our website.

Contacting us

If you contact us via the form on the website or by e-mail, your stated data is stored by us for six months for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data without your consent.

Data storage

We point out that the IP data of the connection holder is stored as cookies for the purpose of an easier purchase procedure and for the later contract processing by the webshop operator, as well as the name, address and the credit card number of the buyer, in a split form on separate media. In addition, the following data – if provided by you – is stored for the purpose of contract processing:

For private and company customers: first name, surname, company name, e-mail address, residential address, company address, delivery address, telephone number.

For contract customers in addition: job position, job location, entry date, 3-letter code, company, batch sizes, individual modifications.

The data you provide is necessary for contract fulfilment and for carrying out precontractual measures. Without this data, we cannot conclude the contract with you. There is no data transmission to third parties, with the exception of passing on credit card data to the handling bank institutes or payment service providers for the purpose of settling the purchase price, as well as to package services appointed by us for delivering goods, and to our tax advisers for the fulfilment of our tax obligations.

After breaking off the purchase procedure, the data we have stored is erased. In case of a contract conclusion, all data relating to the contract relationship is stored until expiry of the legal tax retention period (7 years). The data processing takes place on the basis of the legal regulations of § 96 par. 3 TKG (Telecommunications Act) and Art. 6 par. 1 lit a (consent) and/or lit b (necessary for contract fulfilment) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Cookies

Our website uses so-called cookies. These are small text files that are deposited on your end device with the help of the browser. They do not cause any damage. We use cookies to make our offer user-friendly. Some cookies remain stored on your end device until you delete them. They enable us to identify your browser at your next visit. If you object to this, you can set up your browser so that it informs you of the placing of cookies and you only allow it in individual cases. When deactivating cookies, the functionality of our website can be restricted.

Web analysis

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies” – text files that are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website (including your IP address) is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports about website activities for the website operators and to provide additional services associated with website and Internet use. Google may also pass this information on to third parties, insofar as this is legally mandatory or third parties process this data on behalf of Google. In no case will Google link your IP address to other Google data. You can prevent the installation of cookies through corresponding settings of your browser software; we point out, however, that in this case you may not be able to use the full range of functions of this website. By using this website, you declare your consent to the processing of the data gathered about you by Google in the aforementioned ways and for the aforementioned purpose.

Your IP address is recorded but then immediately pseudonymised. This means that only rough localisation is still possible. The data processing is based on the legal regulations of § 96 par. 3 TKG (Telecommunications Act) as well as Art. 6 par. 1 lit a (consent) and/or f (legitimate interest) of GDPR. Our aim in line with GDPR (legitimate interest) is the improvement of our offer and of our web presence. As the privacy of our users is important to us, the user data is pseudonymised.

Newsletter

At irregular intervals, we send a newsletter about our activities, new features or current events. Your e-mail address was recorded through a purchase, a service or for contract customers through their consent, as part of the gathering of personal core data. You can refuse the mailing easily at any time and cancel it through a link. Your e-mail address will then be deleted automatically from the mailing list.

Your rights

You principally have the rights to information, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, withdrawal of consent and objection. If you believe that the processing of your data infringes data privacy law or your data privacy rights have been otherwise contravened, you can complain to the supervisory authority. In Austria, this is the Data Protection Authority.
